Prerequisites: You must be a NATEC Level-II graduate, A mandatory drag in and drag out, this will consist of halo harnessing a 200Lb. simulated operator and moving them 50 yard in less than one minute and fifteen seconds. Must be in good physical condition. Bring a handgun / OWB holster and a minimum of 400 rounds of ammunition. Bring all tactical equipment assigned to you and/or personal operational gear.

Description

This is a very high-speed course. There will be a mandatory drag in and drag out. There will be very little down time. This course picks up where the level-II Certified Tactical medic course leaves off. some of the areas covered are below:

  • Operator Extraction Review (Refresher on Halo harness, Tallon, RAT strap, and skeds.
  • M-TAP review
  • Forward flow clearing
  • Repelling, i.e., patient extraction though windows with specialty care while descending. 
  • Slow and deliberate / Dynamic clearing
  • Taking open and closed stairwells
  • Flashbang training
  • Breaching
  • Shield work
  • Dynamic shooting drills; no qualification.
  • Woodland operational procedures
  • Successful completion of this course is a prerequisite for level-III candidates.

*NOTE: If the SWAT school candidate does not make the drag in, they will be asked to leave the course at that moment. If the SWAT school candidate does not make the drag out, they will graduate with a course participation certificate instead of a Basic SWAT School Certification and will not be listed on the website as graduating the course.
